Dr. Phillip Coker
Dr. Phillip Coker is originally from the Hebron community of Cades, South Carolina. His family later moved to Manning, where he graduated from Laurence Manning Academy in 2007.
Growing up, Dr. Coker loved playing sports, especially baseball. He played for the Manning-Santee Post 68 American Legion teams and the USC Sumter Fireants before earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina in 2010 (though he’ll tell you he still pulls for the Tigers!).
He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2015. During dental school, he had the opportunity to participate in a mission trip to Cuzco, Peru, through Dental Community Fellowship, where he helped provide dental care while serving the needs of the local community.
Dr. Coker is a member of the American Dental Association and the Florence County Dental Society. He and his wife, Rebecca, live in Turbeville with their three sons, Cannon, Watson, and Cal. Their family attends Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church, where they are actively involved in various ministries.
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Coker enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his boys’ baseball teams, and hunting.
